The Maude Kerns Art presents the 25th annual Art for All Seasons Membership Exhibit and Club Mud Ceramics Holiday Show & Sale, opening on Friday, November 17.
The Art for All Seasons Exhibit provides a perfect opportunity to purchase original artwork for holiday gift giving.
Art for All Seasons features paintings, drawings, prints, photography, and sculpture by over one hundred of the Center’s artist members, including functional and decorative ceramics created by members of Club Mud, the Center’s onsite ceramics cooperative.
Among the many artists exhibiting is sculptor Bob Hansen, a longtime member of Club Mud who specializes in abstract wood-fired ceramics and carved soapstone. Hansen shows an intricate soapstone sculpture titled Complications.
Photographer Charles Search, one of the featured artists in the Art Center’s “Headwaters” exhibit (2009), displays a moody black and white landscape called High and Dry.
Painter Sarah Sedwick has shown her oil paintings at the Art Center on numerous occasions, most recently in “Object/Form” (2016). For this year’s exhibition Sedwick shows a sensuous still life of apples titled Dappled Light.
